For more than 40 years Ciccolella has been growing its own roses in the south of Italy near Bari. Over the years many things have changed.
The Ciccolella group aims at transforming and transcending modern floriculture rules, using the latest research results and cutting-edge technologies. It is willing to play a key-role in developing and re-launching the market, with commitment and care for the environment.
The Ciccolella Group aims to highlight the potential of a union between entrepreneurship and respect for the environment, establishing a business which is sustainable both socially and ecologically, and furthermore strongly bound to the territory also through a modern and effective process of internationalization able to keep pace with the current processes of globalization of markets.
With care for the environment Ciccolella embodies an eco-sustainable production stream, both in the energy and agricultural aspects. This is carried out through a co-generation system, obtained thanks to an agreement with Edison, and a non-soil closed-cycle hydroponic system on perlite substratum with the recovery and re-utilization of drainage waters.
Ciccolella group invests in scientific research, regarded as a suitable means to identify new technologies for production and variety selection, which will lead to top quality products able to meet clients’ needs.
The cooperation with Edison led in 2008 to a whole new production process focusing on sustainable growth of cut flowers like Roses and Anthurium.
Being the largest grower in Europe for Roses and the worlds largest grower for Anthurium, Ciccolella has a leading role in finding new sustainable techniques in growing.
